Why rushing over everything in lockdown?

I'm unable to understand, one simple thing, Why?
It's a simple lockdown, in which we all have to stay in our homes because it is too risky to step outside. By going outside, you are not only risking your life but your family's life too.
And the only answer that we get to know from every single person, is that it is there need to step outside.
May I ask what kind of need? Like to buy groceries? To buy essential products? Like seriously?
Isn't it sounds dumb, because we always forget, one single thing?
We are living in the virtual world, not '60s..
YES! we are living in that world, which is digital.
We can get the things at our doorstep.
Trust me, those peoples, who had never come down from Swiggy or Zomato, are going outside just to buy essentials?
And don't ask about shopping, please.
Who used to wander on the online shopping sites for various fashion products, kitchen essentials are not going outside to buy them?
Does it make any sense?
For mean, No.
